Early life (3-4 sentences) (4 pts) Angela Davis attended segregated schools before moving to NewYork, where she then went to greenwich village. In 1961 she attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts to study french. After graduating she spent two years at the faculty of philosophy Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe University in Frankfurt, West Germany.

What they did to impact the Civil Rights Movement (4-5 sentences) (9 pts)
Angela Davis also was involved in the American Communist Party. The FBI found out and they terminted her contract.
While in graduate school she joined a group called Black Panthers, A non violent Coordinating Commitee Ron and Karenga's US-Organization. She spoke for a special event based on Civil Rights Movement. The Black Panther was to serve the needs of the oppressed people in our communities and defend them against their oppressors. She joined this group beacuse she felt she had the right to.

The reason is beacuse her mother campaigner and had been active in the NAACP before the organization was outlawed in Birmingham. Another reason is because everyone had their own beliefs. There are many other reasons but them are the main ones. She was a big deal because she wasnt only black she was a women.
